Wednesday Tip: Thought we might discuss machines today. What we use and why? How they help or limit us?

First I have a 2003 Bernina Artista 200, Brünhilde, with the 730 upgrade minus BSR. Really like this machine for its smaller size. The stitches are beautiful. 9mm 360° sewing and small Embroidery module. 150×400 Embroidery field. This machine makes the most beautiful lace and satin stitches. What limits me is the knee lift with Hip and Arthritis issue it is painful to use the knee lift. But is a good all purpose machine and so easy to travel because of its smaller size

Next is my Pfaff Creative Sensation. This is my go to machine. Does almost everything sideways sewing stitch Creator. Has the most beautiful heirloom stitches. The hover and automatic features really make this machine easy and a joy to use. Has Embroidery of 350×360 with split design native 200×360. IDT makes precision sewing a dream. Pfaff for me just does what I want when I want it

Finally my Janome MC12000, Niko,. We have a love hate relationship. This machine produces the most beautiful straight stitch. All the automatic features are really helpful. But the interface is tedious and takes some thought. The needle is pushed to the back making it very hard to see with vision issues. The embroidery and quilting in the hoop are fantastic with 230×300 Embroidery. Nice. The Accufeed is great for straight line or walking foot Quilting. And the fabric guide really helps with piecing. The Janome does not like thick dimensional stitches like Candlewick and Raised Satin stitches. But is a excellent machine
